Real life sports broadcaster Lindsay McCormick augments reality in Big Shot Mobile Game

You may know Lindsay McCormick as a sideline reporter on ESPN, or from NBC's Sunday Night Football, or from CBS coverage of the NFL Draft. McCormick has helped fans understand the game, play ESPN's Streak for Cash, and College Pick'em. She recently played the talk show host in The Bounce Back - a romantic comedy starring Shemar Moore and is shooting season 3 as a judge in Entreprenuer Elevator Pitch.

"Is this real life? Is this just fantasy?" - Queen

For the first time, Big Shot mobile game players unlock a sports broadcaster to appear in Augmented Reality (AR) - is this real life or is this just fantasy? Lindsay McCormick's 3D avatar will appear in AR down the street, at school, the office, stadium or cafe with timely expert tips to help Big Shots (Big Shot Basketball mobile game players) build a their roster. This will make McCormick the first Augmented Reality sports broadcaster to appear as a game character - a mix of real life and sports fantasy on smartphone screens of fans of all ages.

In the Big Shot game, players must find athletes Pokemon Go style. On their smartphone, Big Shots head out into the real world to meet NBA players, legends and sports broadcasters in Augmented Reality. McCormick Roster Tips help Big Shots decide if they want to Swap the NBA player they discovered in their backyard, at the stadium, coffee shop, school or office.

Big Shots earn Swaps by playing the game or purchasing in-app. But as Ice-T says "don't hate the playa, hate the game". Swapping out NBA players is perfectly legit as Big Shots unlock different challenges, or games, to enter the NBA players into - different players are better for different games. You may not want that Utah Jazz center for the 3-point challenge - he may not be the right "playa" for that "game".

So, to continue with the legendary Ice-T beat, McCormick Roster Tips knows, "every baller on the streets is searchin' fortune and fame," let Lindsay McCormick help you become a Big Shot.

Big Shot lets players customize their avatar. The public beta version allows users to pick from a couple of hair styles, t-shirts, pants and shoes. ePlay is working on Advanced Avatar Customization that goes even further. Beta testers have already told us they want sneakers (lots of sneakers), to replace their face with selfie, and other advanced features. Big Shots have asked for NBA logo jerseys and more.
